ABOUT THE ARTIST
Nahyelli Rogers
I am a 14-year-old student and artist with an array of interests related to the arts and computer sciences and I have a personal love for anime and my cat, Cin. I live in beautiful northern California with my big and supportive family. I have three older sisters and a younger brother but only my brother and I are still at home. I am also an aunt of one nephew and three nieces who I adore. I am currently finishing up my eight-grade school year and my first year of college courses at Shasta College simultaneously. I am working towards my degrees in both Art and Computer Science with the goal of completing my degrees (or almost) by the time I graduate from high school.
Art has been a passion of mine since I can remember. One thing I love about art is that I don't have to be good at every form of art to appreciate all forms and to learn from them for inspiration in my own works. I primarily enjoy sketching but I try to introduce new experiences and find other enjoyable means of self-expression within the arts.
Through my studies I developed a deeper interest in both graphic design and landscape photography and enjoy the process of both forms. I enjoy landscape photography for many reasons but primarily because I am able to get out in nature and experience the beauty of what I capture, not just sit behind a computer. Photographing nature and the great outdoors grounds me and inspires me in other projects. Graphic design is just fun. Not only is it beneficial in any of my future personal interests and projects, but the skills that I develop help me professionally to build my portfolio and generate business.
